Our families have been involved in the tourism industry for a long time. We have worked with other agencies and have provided simple accommodation in Chaurikharka close to Lukla on the route to Everest for many years. We are thus able to offer safer and more memorable trips than many other companies.
Safety First
Your safety as well as ours always come first and risk management is taken very seriously. Our tour guides are all experienced government license holders and trained in first aid. However, "Region Treks" does only provide basic first aid services but will attempt to assist whenever possible. We will also help organize search or rescue operations and assist with any formalities after rescues and in cases of repatriation. Personal equipment is always checked and we can supply some specialist gear, oxygen cylinders and Gamow Bag at extra cost. Sufficient acclimatization is taken into account on all trips

Insurance
Public liability, health and travel insurances are virtually unheard of in Nepal. We therefore recommend that you obtain a good accident and medical insurance covering all aspects of traveling and mountaineering. We suggest that you bring copies of all such documents including that of guaranteed payment for rescues. Mountain rescue insurance including use of helicopters for all mountain treks and especially expeditions is therefore an absolute "must". Without guarantee of payment it will not be possible to arrange rescues.
